Schalke 04 coach Felix Magath is warning Manchester United over their interest for goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Neuer is under consideration at United as a potential replacement for veteran No1 Edwin van der Sar.

"I never contemplated him leaving, because he is a symbol of this club," said Magath.
