Convict football

They are all living every man’s dream, earning millions a year, playing in the best world clubs, having most beautiful women, young generations practically worship them, but it all seems not enough to them…they are all ready to throw it away so easily, and for what!?! For alcohol, cars, fights….

I have noticed that not a day goes by that we don’t hear of great football stars being involved in some incident…and it makes me so mad…ungrateful bunch…

When I think of it, the first name that crosses my mind is definitely Inter idiot, Adriano! The man keeps falling down deeper in the mud every day and, however a great footballer he might be, he will never live up to the expectations. We have spent so much of our time writing about him, but the Fallen Emperor just keeps surprising us over and over again… his latest clunker happened this weekend during Sampdoria game his team (finally) won. Namely, no one saw it during the game, but after reviewing the recording, Italian Football League officials have decided to hand him a three-game suspension for shoving the opponents’ player in the box. Adriano did score a winner, but his success is deemed to be blurred by this ridiculous episode.

Earlier this season, but less than a month ago, Manchester United star and the best footballer in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo, could’ve got himself killed by reckless driving. Brand new red Ferrari was wrecked when Ron crashed driving through Manchester and surprisingly leaving the car completely unharmed! Guess Ron was trying to test it, to see how fast it can go, but guess he didn’t intend to end it that way…what a shame would be to lose the best Player in the WHOLE WORLD for such a stupidity!

Similar thing, on the same day Ron had his ride, happened to Bayern Munich top star, Frank Ribery who decided to take a bus tour across Dubai. He didn’t get far, picked up a couple of traffic signs on his way near the hotel and hit the curb. Uli Hoeness had to dig deep in his pocket to pay the damage, and all that Frank had to say is that that wasn’t his first time driving a bus! Maybe he could consider a career change?

Since I am the personal admirer of Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard, I just can’t make myself write anything bad about him and his recent arrest for night brawl… he pled innocent and I honestly believe him, but nonetheless, he did spent some time in jail, thus putting a blur on his impeccable career…

And finally, latest of incidents happened to Chelsea star, 21-year-old, John Obi Mikel who was arrested for suspected drunk-driving on Saturday when he was pulled over by police at 5.30am while driving his Range Rover near the club’s ground. The Nigerian midfielder has already had a similar offense and will have to appear in court in April! He even faces a jail term should the offense turn out to be serious.

Silly boys.. ruining it all for nothing...
