Can Usain Bolt defy Science?

Topics: 296   Posts: 7

Usain Bolt’s title as the world’s fastest man is by no means an understatement. After beating almost all the records in the 100 meters, the Jamaican is set to take on the skies, defying almost all the rules of physics by beating the 9.5 seconds mark. He currently hold the Olympic record and has since smashed the World Record in Berlin where he locked in 9.58seconds to win him the gold in the World Championships meant that he now holds the fastest record ever. Bolt did 9.69 at the Beijing Olympics. According to the governing track and field body, the 100m limit is logically possible at 9.52. Bolt is inching closer.

His latest record is the 200 meters where he clocked in 19.19 seconds, which is just a bit more than a second faster than he did in Beijing. This he believe is where he is “On my way to being a legend. If Queen Elizabeth knighthooded me and I would get the title Sir Usain Bolt, that would be very nice,"

Researchers now are scratching their heads on whether their original conclusion that the human body cannot surpass the 9.52 mark in the 100 meters could have been wrong and while Bolt is out thre claiming that that he aims for the 9.4 mark, the race is on to see if the science or Bolt could prove each other wrong.
