Dusko Tosic, the Serbian defender has been released by Portsmouth and this come just a few weeks after he was signed form Werder Bremen on a free transfer where he has yet to play a game for the club. The closest he came to playing was when he was in the substitute list of the game against Southampton in the FA Cup but he was not used. After that he was unable to play due to Portsmouth’s non-payment to clubs’ problem.
According to Paul Groves, the team coach, "There was no point in Tosic continuing. It was a shame. He came in and trained with us and started to get used to us. I suppose he's one of the victims of the [financial] situation."
