Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has come out to say that he is still Portugal coach as there have no official contact between him and the people from London over a possible transfer to Stamford Bridge.

It is widely reported that the Brazilian has been tipped to take over after Avram Grant was sacked. Scolari who will be out of the Portugal job after the upcoming Euro 2008 insists though that will not decide on what to do next up until the tournament ends.

He said that 'I am working normally around the national squad. It is normal at the end of a contract for a coach to be mentioned with other clubs. If I take a decision, I will tell my president. But I haven't made a decision yet. My only decision now is to work until after the European Championship. My president is Gilberto Madail. He is my representative. If he had any contact with Chelsea, I haven't been told about it.”

On another issue, he also pointed out that he has recently advised Manchester United midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo on his future, hinting that he should move to Spain. Ronaldo of late has been generating headlines after the manner by which Real Madrid approached the business of trying to get Ronaldo over to Spain.

Scolari said that “We've spoken a lot, as for him I'm more than an older friend, and I've given him some advice. For me football is not about memories but chances, which sometimes don't present themselves again. Regardless of the decision he makes about his future we're here to support him.”
