Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o’s position at the Nou Camp has been under pressure, again. This time it would be from the player himself who has since announced that he would love a fresh new challenge across at the Barclays’ Premier League. Recent developments saw that Tottenham Hotspur are hot on the progress of the player. Eto’o, who received jeers from his own fans after being suspended against Real Madrid would find the future at Nou Camp harder than it seems. he said “The Premiership is a top league, so to play there will be fantastic and a good challenge.” It has been a while now that Eto’o was linked with clubs away from Spain including Liverpool and Chelsea both in the fray, but it is Spurs who is in their re-building plans that might see Eto’o heading to London. Spurs have since let goalie Radek Cerny go to Queens’ Park Rangers while PSV Eindhoven has snapped up defender Lee Young-Pyo who said that “This is a point in my life that I need a change and I must make the best decision for myself. 'The most important thing for me is to be happy and have fun playing on the pitch. It doesn't matter where I play.” Other players on the transfer list include Anthony Gardner, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Paul Stalteri, Paul Robinson and Pascal Chimbonda. Additions to their side lately were Luka Modric from Dinamo Zagreb while Crystal Palace youngster John Bostock is tipped for a transfer to White Hart Lane as well.
