Manchester United influential player Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that he will somehow be considering his future after the Champions League when his team is up against Chelsea and then think about moving away to Real Madrid. After scoring 41 times for the Red Devils this season which saw them retaining their title and getting into the final of the Champions League, Ronaldo is now considered to be one of the top players in the world. As recent time, Real has so far been wanting to land the 23 year old Portuguese, who will be heading to the UEFA EURO 2008 tournament after the season ends. It was widely reported too that the bid could reach up to £100million. The player, who has had a tremendous season after taking the Golden Boot award said that “I am happy here but let's see what happens after the Champions League final. I am feeling calm here. I'm happy but in the future I don't know. I know Real Madrid like how I play and I know that other teams in Spain like my game as well, so that's good. It is good to know that other clubs are interested in you. I have said millions of times that I would love to play in Spain.” Cristiano Ronaldo, apart from the award he collected on the pitch has also made a clean sweep in almost all other awards he has been nominated for including the Football Writers’ Association player of the year overtaking David James and Liverpool record signing Fernando Torres. With the rumours surfacing every now and then, Ronaldo has been pretty calm and collected when receiving his award, even dedicating to Sir Bobby Charlton. He said “I am very happy to win this award. It is very important for me to win again, but most important is the collective awards (of the team). I am still going to want to win more, to carry on like this, I will not stop because I have these two awards. Next season I will try to do my best again. I have improved every season and will try to improve next season. I am enjoying my football, and want to carry on.” |
