Jose Mourinho
With Roberto Mancini leaving Internazionale, it was confirmed that Jose Mourinho, the frontrunner to be his successor will take charge of the club from here on. Mourinho, who left Chelsea last year has not been actively managing ever since then and since Inter parted ways with Mancini, the man who brought Champions League success to FC Porto and then the League titles to Chelsea will see them challenging for European honours next season.

The club released a statement that reads “Internazionale announce the arrival of Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese coach has signed a three-year contract and will work alongside Rui Farias, Silvino and Andrei Villas Boas. The assistant coach will be Giuseppe Baresi.”

The club was appreciative to what Mancini had done previously “Thanking Roberto Mancini and his staff for the success obtained in four seasons as the leader of the team, all of Internazionale has the great pleasure to welcome Jose Mourinho and his coaches.”

The departure of Mancini has been talked about for some time ever since Inter lost to Liverpoool FC in the Champions League where he announced that he was leaving the club. Attempts to revert that decision did not go too well with the board where they started seeking for replacements.

Mourinho, who has been out of job since leaving Stamford Bridge, has been linked with various clubs including Liverpool FC, Real Madrid and even a return to the Blues but with this, he will have to fill the shoes that might just be big enough for someone his stature.
