Amara Diane has stated that he would definitely say yes if a transfer agreement is put forward by Newcastle to his French club Paris St German. Kevin Keegan, the Newcastle manager was present at the Parc Des Princes to watch the forward play in the Ligue 1 match against St Etienne which ended with a 1-1 draw. Diane, one of the players in the starting line up and an ardent fan of Keegan said that the clubs are now discussing a possible transfer for the Ivory Coast international. He said “I know that there is contact between the two clubs. If they come to an agreement, I would go to Newcastle.” On Keegan, he said that “Keegan is a coach that makes you dream. His team play attacking football, and playing in England would be a great opportunity for me. To play with Michael Owen would be great and there is also Obafemi Martins, who is a quality striker. The Premier League is very attractive and several of my Ivorian friends play there, so I would be in good company.” Diane joined PSG from Strasbourg in the summer of 2006 and if his desire to move to the Premiership goes well, he would be joined in by fellow national team mates, Emannuel Eboue and Kolo Toure who are playing in Arsenal FC and the pair of Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou who plays for Chelsea FC.
