The club however has so far denied any formal negotiations with the Italian side over the possible transfer. For Lampard however, he has yet to put pen to paper anything concrete ahead of the final game this season and is sure that he will not be distracted by all that transfer speculations. He said that “I'm very happy at Chelsea, it's been the best days of my career. My future will be sorted out in the summer, myself and the club have said we want to speak about my contract in the summer. Now is not the time to think about that.” Lamps uncle is Harry Redknapp who won the FA Cup last weak with Portsmouth, of which he attended to in support of a family member. He would now like to make it a double for his family by winning the Champions League. He said that “I was at Wembley on Saturday to see Harry win it and it was a great day for the family. For what he has given to the game he deserves that. I'm sure he and all the Redknapp family will be supporting me tomorrow night and it would be great to make it a family double.” He also commented on the penalty he took against Liverpool in the semi-finals as one of the most defining moment in his life stating that “That was a big moment for me but tomorrow is the defining moment for the team. Some of our players have won the Champions League, a lot of us haven't. My defining moment will be if I can be among the team lifting the cup, that will top anything I did in semi-final.” On the management side, coach Avram Grant has yet to be able to figure out his future until after the final as well. if Chelsea loses, then he is as good as gone but winning Europe’s top honours might just give him the chips to bargain for a more permanent role on the pitch instead of at the board. |

In what is seen as totally un-conventional, Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has since come out to say that he will be looking into his future with the club after the Champions League final tonight. While there are similar reports on the Man Utd camp where Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked to Real Madrid after the final and some even from Didier Drogba who is also talking about a possible transfer over to San Siro with AC Milan, Frank Lampard has so far been linked with San Siro too but with the rival club Internazionale Milan.
