Gunners Desperate to Keep Cool E-mail
Saturday, 01 March 2008

Eduardo’s injury will not outline Arsenal’s remaining season although it could dent their confidence but Arsenal manager has told his players to pick themselves up and continue to focus on what’s left starting from Aston Villa’s visit to the Emirates. This is where they have to show character, show what champions are made of. Their erratic captain’s behaviour has since been stated over and over again and is beginning to spread to the rest of the squad.

Arsene Wenger has always stressed that his team is mentally strong enough to maintain their lead and composure in the league, but recent events have starting to show that the team is beginning to crack under pressure, which somehow manifested through their captain, William Gallas, who have had years of experience in him.

Although Wenger has yet to panic, without Eduardo and Robin van Persie, he is starting to run out of choice in his strikeforce. The facts are plain and even Almunia, their goalkeeper are forcing a positive front, he said “We of course have respect for every team but we don’t care who we play against. All the game we have at home must be won. There we are strong and that is what can help us win the title”.

Bendtner who have shown much promise is not clicking well with Adebayor, they cling on a hope of hopes that they could still be crowning champions come May if they can just shrug off that annoying Manchester United keeping their gap close, too close by.
