Portugal and Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho might be leaving Stamford Bridge. That was at least what he said and think that he would not be the only one. Carvalho has been monumental at the back line considering the success he helped bring to the club this season even with the leaving of Jose Mourinho. Chelsea nearly won the Premiership title and could still make it a fruitful season come the Champions League Final where they are up against Manchester United. He has so far built a strong partnership at the defence of the Blues with captain John Terry. One of the signings under countrymen Jose Mourinho in 2004 when the coach came from FC Porto, Carvalho is keen to match up with his former boss when he takes on a new job. There has been talks about players leaving Stamford Bridge including forward Didier Drogba who has since been linked with a move away to AC Milan. Other players like Frank Lampard too has joined in the fray after extensions to signing a new contract. Carvalho, the 29 year old defender who will be playing at the national level come June at the UEFA EURO 2008 tournament said that “You have to be prepared because when it's like that, someone goes, someone stays someone comes. I don't know yet if I will stay but I have a contract. Everyone has known each other here for a long time and we enjoy each other's company so we have to try to win this last game. It's important. We didn't win the Premier League so we have to get a Champions League medal.”
